4,000 Runners competed in Caofeidian Wetland International Half Marathon 2018-05-24


At 8 o'clock on the morning of May 20, the 2018 Caofeidian Wetland International Half Marathon started in a gunshot. This was the second consecutive year for Caofeidian Wetland to hold the event of marathon. More than 50 players from Kenya, Ethiopia, Denmark, Norway, and other countries participated in the event with nearly 4,000 runners in China.

During the half marathon, the temperature was around 17 degree Celsius, which was suitable for long-distance running. Therefore, the players had played their potential in the competition. In the end, Kenya's Jeffrey won the first place in the men's team with the time of 1 hour 8 minutes and 14 seconds. It is worth mentioning that the champion in women's team of this year's half marathon is Jiao Anjing, a freshman student from North China Electric Power University with the time of 1 hour 19 minutes and 35 seconds by beating two Ethiopian athletes. After the competition, Jiao Anjing said, "This is my first time in Caofeidian and run near the wetland. The air is very fresh and I feel quite comfortable."

This session of Caofeidian Wetland International Half Marathon Competition is divided into half-marathon, 3-kiometer public health running, couple running, and parent-children running, which aims to create a sport event of stories, memories, thanksgiving and humanity.
