Industry:
In 2021, the added value of all industries in Tangshan was ￥414.15 billion, an increase of 3.4% over the previous year, of which the added value of those above the designated size increased by 4.9%.
At the end of the year, there were 1,950 industrial enterprises above the designated size, including 134 newly established ones put into operation during the year. Among industries above the designated size, the added value of state-controlled enterprises increased by 5.6% over the previous year, joint-stock enterprises increased by 4.9%, foreign-invested enterprises and those invested by Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan increased by 3.5%, and private enterprises increased by 4.7% in terms of economic types. In terms of categories, the added value of the mining industry increased by 8.7% over the previous year, the manufacturing industry increased by 4.8%, and the industry of electricity, heat, gas and water production and supply increased by 7.6%. In terms of industries, the added value of coal mining and washing industry increased by 10.0% over the previous year, the industry of oil and gas extraction decreased by 2.6%, ferrous metal mining and dressing industry increased by 10.7%, the industry of agricultural and sideline food processing increased by 5.8%, petroleum, coal and other fuel processing industry decreased by 11.5%, the industry of chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing increased by 9.5%, the industry of rubber and plastic products increased by 8.1%, the industry of non-metallic mineral products increased by 11.9%, the industry of ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing increased by 5.4%. Meanwhile, the industry of metal products decreased by 8.8%, the industry of general equipment manufacturing increased by 5.3%, the industry of special equipment manufacturing increased by 10.6%, the industry of automobile manufacturing decreased by 5.5%, the industry of railway, shipbuilding, aerospace and other transportation equipment manufacturing increased by 15.6%, the industry of electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing increased by 21.0%, and the industry of electricity, heating production and supply increased by 6.1%. The added value of strategic emerging industries increased by 15.9% over the previous year, accounting for 12.3% of those above designated size. The added value of high-tech industries increased by 7.4%, and that of the industry of equipment manufacturing decreased by 1.0% over the previous year, accounting for 15.3% and 13.1% of those above the designated size respectively.
The annual operating income of industrial enterprises above the designated size was ￥1.50 trillion, an increase of 24.6% over the previous year. Among them, the mining industry earned ￥89.21 billion, an increase of 36.0%, with the manufacturing industry of ￥1.34 trillion, an increase of 24.6%. As for electricity, heat, gas and water production and supply, it was ￥70.68 billion, an increase of 12.3%. The annual profit of industrial enterprises above the designated size was an increase of ￥56.50 billion, an increase of 14.3% over the previous year. Among them, the mining industry was ￥5.38 billion, an increase of 104.7%, with the manufacturing industry of ￥52.55 billion, an increase of 17.1%. The industries of electricity, heat, gas and water production and supply had a loss of ￥1.43 billion.
Agriculture:
In 2021, the sown area of grain in Tangshan City was 490,000 hectares, an increase of 0.7% over the previous year. Grain production was 2.938 million tons, an increase of 1.4%. Among them, 708,000 tons of grain were harvested in summer and 2.231 million tons were harvested in autumn. The yield of grain per mu was 400.1 kg, an increase of 0.7%. The sown area of cotton was 8,000 hectares, with the production of was 9,000 tons, a decrease of 20.8%. Oil had a sown area of 76,000 hectares, with the production of 319,000 tons, a decrease of 0.3%. The sown area of vegetables was 122,000 hectares, with the output of 9.476 million tons, an increase of 0.7%, of which the output of facility vegetables (including edible fungi) was 3.095 million tons, an increase of 2.0%.
The annual output of dried fresh fruits was 1.421 million tons (including fruit melon), an increase of 0.2% over the previous year, of which chestnut output was 108,000 tons, an increase of 5.5%. The planting area of Chinese herbal medicines was 1380.6 hectares, a decrease of 21.4%. The annual afforestation area (including forest tending area) was 41,000 hectares, an increase of 10.5%.
The annual output of pig, cattle, sheep and poultry meat was 600,000 tons, an increase of 4.5% over the previous year. Among them, pork had an output of 398,000 tons, an increase of 8.8%, with beef production of 79,000 tons, an increase of 0.6% and mutton production of 16,000 tons, a decrease of 2.4%. Egg had a production of 264,000 tons, a decrease of 9.0%, with milk production of 1.105 million tons, an increase of 1.3%.
The annual output of aquatic products (excluding pelagic and offshore fishing) was 516,000 tons, an increase of 4.2% over the previous year. Among the total, the output of aquaculture products was 423,000 tons, an increase of 4.1%, and that of fishing aquatic products was 92,000 tons, an increase of 4.3%. The output of seawater products was 336,000 tons, an increase of 5.9%, with the output of freshwater products of 180,000 tons, an increase of 1.0%.
At the end of the year, there were 331 flagship enterprises in agricultural industrialization, an increase of 3 over the end of the previous year, including 78 ones with sales revenue of more than ￥100 million.
