In 2023, Tangshan’s added value in wholesale and retail reached 97.35 billion yuan, a 6.0% increase from the previous year; transportation, warehousing, and postal services contributed 83.09 billion yuan, up 6.0%; accommodation and catering industries added 7.60 billion yuan, growing by 11.9%; the financial sector saw an added value of 26.56 billion yuan, a 6.9% increase; and the real estate industry contributed 20.72 billion yuan, up 3.6%. At the end of 2023, there were 880 above-scale service enterprises, including 11 newly opened during this year. These enterprises achieved an annual operating income of 102.05 billion yuan, a 0.3% increase over the previous year, and a total profit of 9.34 billion yuan, up 21.4%.
Tangshan Port had 80 open berths by year-end, with new Southeast Asia foreign trade container routes launched, bringing the total number of domestic and foreign container liner routes to 47. Five new inland ports were added, raising the total to 55.
Tangshan port's annual cargo throughput reached 842 million tons, firmly ranking second in the world's ports, with a 9.5% year-on-year increase. Waterway freight turnover reached 54.12 billion ton-kilometers, up 11.0%.
Sanvhe Airport's annual passenger throughput was 669,000, a 93.3% increase from the previous year, and 386.9 tons of cargo and mail, up 28.0%. By year-end, it operated 22 routes to 27 cities.
The total highway mileage reached 20,400 kilometers by the end of the year, an increase of 177.6 kilometers from the previous year, including 838.7 kilometers of expressways.
Annual road freight volume reached 448 million tons, a 14.2% increase, with freight turnover hitting 147.8 billion ton-kilometers, up 7.4%. Road passenger volume reached 7.99 million person-times, surging 99.6%, and passenger turnover reached 750 million person-kilometers, a 119.7% increase. The city had a total of 515 passenger routes served by 830 route vehicle.
