Kailuan General Hospital, established in 1892, affiliated to Kailuan Group Corporation, is the core unit of Kailuan Medical and Health Group and a Class-A tertiary general hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention and rehabilitation. In 2023, the hospital covered an area of 43,300 m2. It has 38 clinical specialties, 11 medical technology departments and 39 specialized outpatient clinics. There are 418 personnel with senior professional titles such as chief physicians and professors, 45 master’s supervisors, and 324 post-doctorates, doctors and masters in medicine. 16 people have been awarded the titles of experts enjoying special government allowances from the State Council, outstanding experts under provincial management, experts enjoying special allowances from the provincial government, and middle-aged and young experts with outstanding contributions in the province. 188 people hold positions as committee members, deputy chairmen and chairmen in national, provincial and municipal medical associations and professional branches.
