The 2023 Asian Badminton Elite Tour in the Competition Zone of Tangshan City, Hebei Province was held in the Municipal Gymnasium on the evening of September 22. This tour is the highest level badminton competition ever held in our city.

The six retired Asian badminton athletes participating in the competition were Zhang Nan, the mixed doubles champion of 2012 London Olympic Games and the men's doubles champion of 2016 Rio Olympic, Xu Chen, the champion of 2013 and 2015 Sudirman Cup World Badminton Mixed Team Championships, Liu Cheng, the champion of 2015 Sudirman Cup and the men's doubles champion of 2017 Glasgow Badminton World Championships, Chen Wenhong (Malaysia), the champion of men's doubles of 2009 Badminton Macau Open  and 2010 Malaysia Open Badminton Tournament, Du Yue, the champion of Sudirman Cup of 2019 and 2021, Xia Yuting, the mixed team champion of 2018 World Youth Badminton Championships and women's doubles champion of 2019 Austrian Badminton Challenge.  

    At the competition site, led by Olympic champion Zhang Nan, 6 retired Asian badminton athletes competed against 10 players selected from our city,  jointly presented an unparalleled sports feast for badminton enthusiasts.
