At 3am local time on November 14th, the new energy light rail train manufactured by CRRC Tangshan Company and exported to Argentina arrived at the port of Zarate in the country on an ocean freight ship. This is the first time that the light rail trains powered by new energy made in China have been exported to Argentina. The representative of the Argentine owner, Pablo, President of the Urban Planning and Management Bureau of Jujuy Province, and Emiliano, Project Manager, welcomed the new trains at Sarat Port and highly praised CRRC for its trustworthy and efficient performance capability.

This new energy light rail trains that made in China and characterized as green, intelligent and humanistic are capable of expanding multiple power modes and achieve flexible and variable formation. With the battery of lithium iron phosphate applied for the first time to drive the train, it will be put into operation in Humahuaca Scenic Area of World Cultural Heritage in Argentina.  

The project was signed in May 2022, with its design and construction started in October 2022 at CRRC Tangshan Company. On September 20 this year, two light rail trains powered by new energy were loaded at Nantong Port and shipped to Argentina, marking the successful delivery to Argentina's Jujuy Province project by CRRC.
