A delegation of young students from Oregon of U.S.A visited Tangshan No.1 Middle School for exchange visits on June 24th and 25th.

The members of the delegation visited the School History Museum, Ecological Park, Laboratory, Planetarium and other places in Tangshan No.1 Middle School. They went into the classroom to take lessons of English, physical education, and experiment in physics and chemistry with their counterparts in the school, with an experience of traditional Chinese culture such as calligraphy, Paper-cutting, tea art, Chinese painting, and seal carving as well. Levi Jordan, a member of the delegation, described his experiences with four "very" words: "Chinese culture is very cool, which is more profound than learned about in the United States in the past. The partners here, friendly and hospitable, speak very fluently English. It is a very great experience here.” In order to have a better experience of Chinese culture and life, the students from the visiting group lodged with the families of those from Tangshan No. 1 Middle School during their stay here. Sam said, " I am honored to have the opportunity to participate in this exchange program in Tangshan, China. I had a wonderful time with my host family.”
