On August 5, the National Youth Football Invitational for 2024 kicked off in Haigang District, Tangshan City. Over 400 young football players from 32 teams in 5 provinces and cities including Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shanxi, and Liaoning competed on the green field to showcase their charm.

This invitation tournament lasts for 6 days and is divided into three groups based on the age and level of the participating teams: primary school fifth and sixth grade, primary school third and fourth grade, and primary school first and second grade.

In recent years, Haigang District of Tangshan City had deeply promoted the activity of "City of Events, City of Dreams", taken youth football as a breakthrough and actively cultivated sports bases such as "Junxian Football Club". Six standardized football fields and five "National Schools of Football Characteristics " have been established. More than 1,000 young students had participated in professional football training. Haigang District had also successfully held various levels and types of youth football competitions such as the National Youth Football League and the Golden Phoenix Cup, continuously deepening the integration of sports and education, and promoting the development and popularization of youth sports work.
