According to Tangshan Customs recently, the total value of foreign trade imports and exports in Tangshan was ¥110.57 billion from January to September, a year-on-year increase of 1.1%, accounting for 23.9% of the total import and export value of the province and ranking the first in Hebei Province. The total imports and exports of private enterprises in Tangshan was 62.36 billion yuan, an increase of 3.8%, accounting for 56.4% of the total import and export value. Private enterprises have become the first major foreign trade operating entities in the city.
The data shows that Australia has become the largest trading partner of Tangshan, with rapid growth in imports and exports to countries such as Brazil and India. From January to September, Tangshan's imports and exports to Australia reached 29.04 billion yuan, an increase of 6.7%, accounting for 26.3% of the total import and exports value. With regard to the Middle East, the value was 17.82 billion yuan, an increase of 20.6%. To Brazil, the value was 10.89 billion yuan, an increase of 29%. The total imports and exports value was 2.07 billion yuan to India, an increase of 67.6%.
In terms of industry, the exports of steel and ceramic products has grown rapidly. From January to September, the total exports of steel was 10.99 billion yuan, an increase of 55.7%. The exports of ceramic products was 3.08 billion yuan, an increase of 15.7%. The exports of life science and technology products reached 220 million yuan, an increase of 37.8%. At the same time, there is a strong demand for the imports of bulk commodities and agricultural products. The imports of metal ore and mineral sand reached 41.91 billion yuan, an increase of 9.4%. The natural gas imports amounted to 20.81 billion yuan, an increase of 15.9%. The imports of agricultural products was 3.39 billion yuan, an increase of 28%, of which the value of imported meat was 1.15 billion yuan, an increase by 2.1 times.
