The Australia Cross-Border Products Promotion Conference was successfully held recently in the Seaport Development Zone. Hosted by the Tangshan Port Jingtang Port District Imports & Exports the Bounded Storage and Transportation Co., Ltd., the event brought together suppliers from Australia and representatives from over 20 companies in the steel, coal, trade, and retail sectors. Participants shared insights into Australia’s local culture and opportunities, showcased high-quality and well-reputed products, explored potential business collaborations, and contributed to the development of both domestic and international land-sea transportation channels.
It is reported that since the signing of the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement in 2015, bilateral economic and trade cooperation has grown increasingly close. Australia has gradually become Tangshan City’s largest trading partner, with dairy products, meat, fruits, honey, wine, and seafood being among the typical representatives of Australia’s high-quality products.
The Jingtang Port Bonded Logistics Center, operated by Tangshan Port Group, is the largest public bonded warehouse in the Tangshan area. It mainly engages in bonded storage, entrepot trade, simple processing, cross-border e-commerce, and other businesses, having attracted 50 foreign trade and logistics enterprises. Expanding into new cross-border e-commerce categories such as Australian wine and grain and oil is an important initiative for Tangshan Port Group to cultivate emerging business formats, support the integrated development of the port, industry, and city, and create a new highland for opening-up.
