2025 International Metallurgical Processes Workshop for Young Scholars (IMPROWYS 2025) and 2025 China-Japan-Korea Steel Workshop for Young Scholars (SWYS 2025) kicked off in Tangshan on September 20. Experts from universities and enterprises in China, Japan, South Korea, Sweden, New Zealand, Malaysia, India, Turkey, Egypt, and other countries gathered to discuss hot topics in the field of metallurgy and materials processing in recent years and exchange on the research progress and development trends of new theories, new methods, and new technologies.
The event is organized by the Chinese Society for Metals (CSM) and hosted by North China University of Science and Technology, Northeastern University, and Yanzhao Iron and Steel Laboratory, with Tsinghua University as a co-organizer. It will run through September 22. This event is providing a high-level academic exchange platform for young scientists in the field of metallurgy and materials processes both domestically and internationally. By promoting academic exchange and cooperation in this field, it is expected to further advance the high-quality development of metallurgy disciplines, break through existing technical barriers, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.
