Tangshan's Total Foreign Trade Import-Export Value reached 86.16 Billion Yuan from January to August

According to customs statistics, Tangshan's total foreign trade import-export value from January to August reached 86.16 billion yuan, accounting for 21% of the province's total import-export value. Specifically, imports totaled 59.81 billion yuan, representing 37.6% of the province's total imports, while exports amounted to 26.35 billion yuan, making up 10.5% of the province's total exports.

In terms of trading partners, trade with Belt and Road Initiative partner countries reached 54.1 billion yuan, constituting 62.8% of the total import-export value. Trade with the European Union stood at 5.11 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 14.1%. Trade with Japan reached 2.07 billion yuan, up 28.4% year-on-year, while trade with Canada totaled 1.59 billion yuan, reflecting a 22% growth. Trade with Latin America surged to 14.63 billion yuan, marking a 17.7% increase, with notable growth in trade value with Chile and Peru, which expanded by 3.5-fold and 1.2-fold respectively.

Regarding business entities, private enterprises achieved an import-export value of 56.16 billion yuan, up 1.8% year-on-year, representing 65.2% of the total and positioning them as the leading foreign trade entities. Foreign-invested enterprises recorded an import-export value of 8.82 billion yuan, growing by 9.4% year-on-year.

In terms of exports commodities, textile materials reached 850 million yuan, a 7.9% increase year-on-year; agricultural products exports were 580 million yuan, up 5.0%; and fertilizer exports surged to 340 million yuan, growing by 1.1-fold.

For imports commodities, agricultural products totaled 3.95 billion yuan, a 24.1% increase year-on-year; imports of pulp, paper, and related products reached 1.83 billion yuan, up 1.7%; and mechanical and electrical products imports were 1.14 billion yuan, rising by 11.1%.
