According to the Tangshan Ocean Port and Shipping Administration, from January to August this year, Tangshan Port achieved a cargo throughput of 580 million tons, marking a year-on-year increase of 1.86 percent. This solidifies its position as the world's second-busiest coastal port in terms of cargo throughput.
Tangshan Port operates 280 cargo routes, with seven international container shipping routes covering 12 major ports in Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia. With 62 inland ports established, it has handled 34.597 million tons of cargo and 411.6 thousand TEUs this year.
