The total area of Tangshan Qixin Cement Industry Museum and 1889 Cultural and Creative Industry Park is 115.06 acres, with a building area of 67000 square meters. The predecessor of the park was Tangshan Fine Cotton Soil Plant Factory, which was founded in 1889. In 1906, the factory was restored to Tangshan Cement Company and it was renamed Qixin Cement Co., Ltd in 1907. The first cement rotary kiln in China was ignited here, and the first barrel of cement in China was born here, which is the cradle of China's cement industry. In June 2008, in accordance with the decision and deployment of the Municipal Party Committee and People’s Government to "retreat two and advance three", the Qixin Cement Plant was relocated. The core part of the original site was retained as an industrial heritage, and the Tangshan Qixin Cement Industry Museum was established on the site of the rotary kiln factory.
After several years of operation and development, the park has won the honorary title of National Industrial Heritage Protection Project, National Tourism and Leisure Block, National 4A-level Tourist Attraction and Hebei Provincial Cultural and Creative Industry Park.
